Peridot and Lapis have officially been members of the Crystal Gems for quite some time now (Congrats Peri you found out where to put the star lol). But despite their new found freedom and happiness, it seems as though Lapis' past is still haunting her through continuous nightmares every single night. Peridot decides to help Lapis overcome her fears of the past, but will she turn out to be the answer Lapis is looking for? ~*~ I was so worried about Lapis, for some time it seemed like she was really getting better. And that she was finally happy, what if these nightmares scare her away again? What if she wants nothing to do with the Crystal Gems anymore? What if she leaves again?! What if she leaves me? I don't know hat I would do if I lost Lapis again, I missed her so much last time. It felt like I was all alone in a place I didn't understand, which I kind of was. But it was nice to have someone who knew what I was going through, who understood what it felt like to have no home to go to. Lapis wasn't just another Homeworld run-away, she was like my best friend. She is my best friend, I wouldn't be able to handle losing her again. "Peridot!" **NOTE Canon universe - events after the episode "Raising the Barn" also featuring references to "Back to the Kindergarten" and "Jungle Moon".** During Steven's time at Homeworld, Peridot managed to keep Lapis relatively calm. However, since learning about the events that had occurred there, Lapis had decided she couldn't risk staying on Earth. Though she almost left with her, Peridot thought it best to stay and fight for Earth, and tried to convince her barnmate to stay. Lapis didn't agree. Now, Peridot was left on Earth and Lapis was somewhere in space with the barn. How would the pair of them deal with their time apart?

As the two become closer with each other, Peridot catches feelings for her, and reveals her secret to her. What will become of the two?

Lapis was affected a lot in the past, and she just wanna stay safe in her shell made out of tear. But there was a short blonde girl called Peridot, walked in her dorm room and change her life.

IMPORTANT NOTE: none of these are related! They are all different scenarios and aren't linked to each other at all unless hinted otherwise!! I've had these locked up for months because of my fear of my friends finding them and teasing me. I'm the only one currently obsessed with SU/lapidot and I don't want them to be weirded out over my current interest. It took some gut, but I decided to just suck it up and post them. Since they're one shots, it's instantly climatic with little to no build up. I've been writing one almost every week.

Lapis was upset about past traumas, until Peridot comes to console her. It works during her conscious hours, but once she falls asleep, the pain returns to her in the form of a nightmare. She awakens getting comforted by Peridot, but something seems off for the small, perky gem. Could she be hiding something about herself? This is a fanfic about Lapis and Peridot from Steven Universe.
