In a building comprised of clinically insane people, too dangerous to roam freely within society, the self-proclaimed lost cause was highlighted like no other. A cold blooded killer like many others, her abnormality came in the form of her mind; her incapability to feel guilt of any form. Logically- she would be locked up in the closed unit, safe & sound in her own complimentary straight jacket. But within the illogical & frequently violent walls of Eichen House, everyone knew that wasn't about to happen any time soon. Nearly everyone has made promises with a genuine sincerity in their hearts, only to later go & smash their promise to fragments with a sledgehammer- it's just what people do. No matter how hard they try & resist, if the thought remains bubbling in their mind for long enough, it's bound to boil over eventually Rachel Hale wanted to stay true to her promise. She swore she'd never go back to Beacon Hills after a fire killed nearly all of her family, yet when one of her two surviving siblings was brutally murdered within the confines of the town, she couldn't help herself; not after the arsonist who burned her life to the ground walked free. Alongside her older brother, Rachel went back to the damned town, & almost instantly fell head over heels into chaos- and took a whole lot of people with her. Remaining both physically & mentally intact within the confines of Beacon Hills wasn't always a struggle for Rachel Hale.
