Though everything changes when Dumbledore comes knocking at his door. Remus is told he can attend Hogwarts as long as no one knows about his furry little problem, which seems an easy enough task until he befriends the sprightly duo- James Potter and Sirius Black, along with Peter Pettigrew, who seem to spend their days making mischief and chasing trouble.

While Remus Lupin braced for homelessness, he never could have prepared himself for the fatal lows and startling highs summer brings. And just when he thinks life will settle, he's blindsided by horrific tragedy. With a Death Eater attack gone awry and Remus' interference risking Greyback's involvement- the Gryffindor confronts his most challenging year yet, and that's not accounting for the lost memories he starts recovering. But does he really want to know the truth? Besides...handling Sirius Black is a full-time job. And with all the new third-year opportunities, there's no time to rest. But Remus wouldn't change that for the world, not when he can finally prove his worth to Dumbledore! In the aftermath of the worst Christmas ever Remus is confronted by a host of problems and one extremely confusing letter. Fearing he would never step foot in Hogwarts again Remus finds himself back at the magic castle he calls a home. In returning, Remus accepts the fact he may have lost all his friends only to realize that is not at all the case. But things are never easy for the young werewolf and he struggles to navigate the second half of the year which may prove to be even more draining than the first half! For starters the tensions between the schools grow as the second Triwizard Task approaches. Also Remus is forced to sort out his feelings for his friends and finds himself making some tough decisions regarding his relationships. With budding new friendships and well as strained old ones Remus discovers that he hardly gets any time alone. However when he is alone, the questions Remus has about every aspect of his life seem to overwhelm him so perhaps the constant company is a good thing... even if it does leave him completely drained. Only one persistent question keeps haunting him along with familiar and distinctly unpleasant dreams. A question which Remus slowly begins to piece together. What exactly happened to him when Greyback kidnapped him?

Remus was sure he'd have to say goodbye to his friends this year, but oddly it seems they have forgotten about his secret entirely. Or, more likely, they are hatching some sort of plan to uncover it. But with a strange new Professor who seems determined to lessen his classes' prejudices, maybe, just maybe, there's hope yet-even though Remus knows it's only a matter of time they find out. However, he has bigger things to worry about. Mainly keeping his other two friends from murdering Peter, finding a way to be supportive about Quidditch to both Sirius and James, and trying to hold off Patricia's attempts to take them to the forest, which seem far too dangerous and suspicious. Oh yeah, and the Triwizard Tournament is being attempted to be held at Hogwarts for the first time in hundreds of years, though if the attempt will be successful is anyone's guess, especially since there might be a secondary reason for why some of the students from other schools are at Hogwarts. Between classes, Quidditch, tasks, and moons, Remus doesn't know how he's going to make it through this school year without slipping up, but he sure is gonna try.
