2026 was a system crash. 1881 is a reboot.
Aria was a corporate survivor buried in spreadsheets and "Siri" reminders-until her reality glitched into the damp stone of the Paris Opera House.
Now, she exists where she shouldn't.
No language. No proof. No way back.
To everyone else, she's just another girl pulled off the streets.
So she lets them believe it.
Until fever blurs the line between past and present-
"Hey, Siri? I need to call in sick," Aria whispered into the dark. "And order soup. And maybe... a priest."
A figure emerged from the shadows-tall, masked, and still.
"Who is 'Siri', Aria?" he asked softly. "Is she the one who sent you to my cellar?"
"She lives in the box," Aria murmured. "Tell her... it's too hot in Paris."
He should dismiss her as delirious.
He doesn't.
In a place built on silence, Aria is suddenly being watched-carefully, deliberately-by a man who sees something in her that shouldn't exist.
Because in the Opera House, attention is dangerous-
and the wrong kind of interest doesn't let go.
(Still under construction 🫶🏻)
