Y/N is an odd, but relatively normal person who collects objects he randomly finds. He goes to college, goes out with his friends, and works from 2 pm - 5 pm. One day after curiosity gets the better of him, he explores an abandoned office building and comes across an old computer that's still turned on. When a mysterious stranger explains what's on the computer and gifts it to him as a Christmas present, he transfers the data to his laptop and leaves taking a strange headset with him, and doesn't realize that he's about to make six new friends that live in his laptop, a very colorful cast of wacky and zany characters.

The story centers on Professor Hershel Layton, and his self-styled apprentice, Luke Triton, and his star student, (Y/n) (L/n), investigating the fictional village of St. Mystere about an artifact known as the Golden Apple, an heirloom that the late Baron had left as a test to determine who would receive his fortune after his death. The residents of St. Mystere particularly enjoy brain teasers and will often ask the player to help solve them by using the system's touchscreen to submit answers in exchange for their cooperation in the search.

Thanks to the merge, all the realms have been merged together and the Ninja and allies have gone missing. Two teenagers from different worlds use their newly discovered Ninja powers to defend dragons from villains who want to use their life-force for evil.

Y/N manages to land a job at the park, but things start getting a little too weird for him. His boss is a gumball machine with anger issues, but surprisingly, he's also a friendly leader. There's also a kind, pink lollipop, an annoyingly unhygienic green goblin who somehow still ends up being a cool friend, a ghost with just one hand, and an immortal yeti from the 18th century. And that's not even the strangest part-some really bizarre things start happening the longer Y/N works at the park.

This place is a mining town known as Diamond Town. Local airplane pilot Kirby lives a fun, happy life. One day, the town is sent into a fuss when an ancient machine is discovered in the mines! In order to get the machine to work, it seems that they must find the "gears" sealed around town. Kirby, Waddle Dee, Manager Dedede, Meta Knight, Daroach, and Magolor embark on a great adventure to find them! However, in this "gear quest," an extravagant evil is hiding...?! Differing from the usual setting of Dream Land, this is the story of a different world!
