Her best friends weren't really her friends, and it took her too long to realize the fact. They didn't care for her and had only hung around her because she hid the scent of how evil and disgusting they really were. Jughead needs to change himself. Betty needs to fix past mistakes. The two old friends reconcile, but not after she pushes him to the point where he can't say no. It's not always easy and most of the time, they want to give up. They want to go home and forget things that happened. But they don't. They don't stop and as Jughead ails, the relationship between the two of them becomes stronger than ever. A dangerous game, really, but neither want to stop playing.

When Betty accidentally gives her roommate Jughead a book of 'Sexy Coupons' instead of 'Chore Coupons' for his birthday, her pride would never allow her to admit her mistake. So she sorta just...goes with it. The rest, she argues, can be figured out later.

"The city's about 70 miles that way." He pointed over her head as he took another drag from his cigarette, the blondes head following his action. She turned back to him with a smile, removing her sunglasses. For a moment he was taken aback by the startling green color of her eyes, but he calmed himself quickly. "I know where the city is, but thank you." She dropped the sunglasses into her purse and it was the first time he realized a bag of luggage beside her feet. "I need somewhere to stay until the storm passes." His line of vision followed her hand as she pointed up at the sky and he winced a little.
