Siblings fight all the time, don't they? One night during a heated argument, Yukio's words struck too deep. He didn't realize that by watching his brother walk out the bedroom door, he sentenced his brother to a life time in pain. On the night Rin left he stumbled his way into Ghenna itself. There he discovered that he enjoys training in Hell instead of becoming the hero people tell him he should be. To him, there is no point in being the good guy if no one really wants him to be.

In a fit of rage, five year old Okumura Rin unlocked his secondary powers, and felt as if he was forced to flee because of it. While sitting in a cemetery tree, a man who claims he's Astaroth tells Rin his real father wants to meet him. Feeling helpless, Rin agreed to go with the man, and so his life in Gehenna begins.
