The book opens on Ahsoka and Rex going their separate ways directly after the end of the war, however she feels a new presence in the force, the presence was so strong she thought it could only be one person. Ahsoka Tano had been on Onderon nearly two months before she understood just how rare a moonless night actually was. The shadows were so thick she could practically breathe them in as she stepped from the old hunting trail into a small clearing made by the recent fall of one of the Iziz region's giant jungle trees. 18 years after Meraki was born, and Ahsoka was lost, the Empire fell to the hands of Rebels. Ahsoka was never fully lost, Vader never killed her. Keith aided her in her escape, he sacrificed his life again to save Ahsoka. He died in the act. Ahsoka never returned to Lux, she stayed hidden under the name of 'Fulcron'. Ahsoka helped a band of rebels. Meanwhile on Dantooine, Lux and An raised Meraki to the best of their abilities. Meraki, at 18, she has become as her mother, a skilled swordsman also an in tune with the force inside her. With her birth mother's lightsabers she trains hard with Chastin, a human female as well. Both of them leave their quiet farms for weeks on a mission to work with the Rebel Alliance.

Keith's surrender shocked them all but they all left from Tatooine weeks afterwards. Anaxes holds their home until Ahsoka's child was born, then Dantooine was their next home. An grieves Keith's loss, her determination to find him motivates her.

Years ago Ahsoka Tano was betrayed by her friend and trialled by the Jedi Council and left her best friend, her mentor, Anakin Skywalker. The Clone Wars came to an end quickly after Grevious fell at Obi Wan's hand, Order 66 was released sending Jedi to their deaths but many still hung unknown and undiscovered in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Like Ahsoka herself, many were the fallen, leaving the Jedi order by their own choice of judgment.

Captured by Sith, Ahsoka Tano in danger. With the birth of her infant dangerously close, and the life of her Padawan in her hands, she must stay strong against Dooku's will.

After 2 years as Anakin's apprentice, Ahsoka is finally given a mission on her own. Truth be told, Anakin only gave her this mission so he could get some alone time with his wife, Padme Amidala. How will Ahsoka handle this mission when she finds out she has to protect senator Lux Bonteri, the boy she COULD NOT STAND. This is the story of how love changed the fate of not only Ahsoka Tano, but the entire galaxy. *Story is not complete but I update often.
