Gingerkit is a completely normal kit- accept that she was born with a hard destiny to fulfil. She must save the clan- and shine. How would you feel, if you could only see mouths moving? When someone laughs, to you, they're smiling emptily. When someone talks, you struggle to read their lips. That is just how life is for Goosekit. Born deaf, he is still desires to become a warrior, despite the rest of his Clan doubting him. Along with the challenges he must face that come from being deaf, he must face the ordinary challenges of a warrior - all the while wondering what StarClan has in store for him, and why they would let him live without the gift of hearing. The chaos of the Great Battle is dying down. The four leaders come to the conclusion that killing the traitorous cats who had betrayed their kin is the best punishment for their terrible crimes. Many cats would assume that StarClan would disaprove of such brutal behavior. But StarClan just watched. ┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅ The ThunderClan she-cat is a loyal warrior. A cat who risked everything returning to the Place of No Stars to spy for he beloved sister. The ShadowClan warrior lost her family in the Great Battle. Now thanks to her leader she is about to lose everything. The WindClan tom is tired of being seen as an arrogant young warrior, causing him to join the Dark Forest with a promise. But the promise is now guarenteed to cost him his life. The RiverClan warrior is plagued with guilt after losing her son who follwed her pawsteps by training in the Place of No Stars and eventually met his demise. Her other kit won't even look at her anymore. ┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅ The runaways run free from their four groups, forming into one to try to find a new, fufilling life but they have to decide leaving StarClan behind is the answer. Is there really a point of being loyal to something that abandoned you? ┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅┅

A sickness - like a mere case of the chills or a minor whitecough in a patient - is often something a medicine cat can easily fix, with some leafy catmint or perhaps a pawful of feverfew. It is vanquished effortlessly, and the illness is gone. It does not come back unless someone receives it again. But when the Clans have contracted a terrible sickness, StarClan has not answered for moons, and they are losing numbers quickly, nobody knows what to do. The medicine cats have done all they can for their Clanmates, however, nothing has worked. No longer outside the elder's den lay a lazy, gray-muzzled cat. The nursery, ever so faintly smelling of milk, only contains memories of what used to happen in the usually cheery den. The warrior's den only have three or four inhabitants, each of which thinks grimly of the day that the sickness could come upon them. The apprentice's den, in some Clans, has one cat who comes to sleep in it each night, cold and alone. Others are empty, filled with grief for lost futures. Leaf-fall has tumbled upon the Clans. Leaf-bare approaches, peeking over the treetops some mornings. This awful illness has lasted since Green-leaf and, still, with the medicine cats searching every day and the warrior's eyes peeled for it, a cure has not been found. However, each Clan has a reason for StarClan not answering them, and they mostly stick to it.
