Book 1 of Black as the Night~ The court was unmistakably quieter today. The air was gloomier. The skies were darker. It seemed the gods recognized this sacred moment in time. This fateful day. It would be taught in history for millions of years. For eternity. The day that the favoured crown prince had lost himself. And yet he did not want it to be. *** The crown prince of Elvadore. That is who he once was. What he had been. Up until that fateful day he knew. He had purpose and meaning. And yet now, he didn't. It was ripped from him in an instant. Gone. Ronin Esterell had given up hope of ever walking again. He had begrudgingly accepted it. His story ended on that day. He would be regarded as a tragedy. He would spend thousands of years completing paper work for his King brother instead of ruling. He would watch as his brother ruled and he wasted away. After all, twenty years had gone by since he lost this luxury on the battlefield. He hadn't even commanded an army ever since. No healer or medic could cure him. Everyone had come to terms with his fate. Everyone except for his younger brother. Thus, Ryu Esterell, took upon himself the task of finding the legendary grand master mage-the only one who can cure his prince brother, and restore him to his former glory. ~ Planning consistent updates on Saturdays Started: 06/06/2020 Finished: ongoing

These are Wattpad members' experiences regarding "slut" shaming and sexual bullying. You can now submit your experience to be a chapter in this collection in the form of a VIDEO - or as a drawing, poster, collage, or any other type of visual art. Just message me a link (send it to @emilylindin). If you've already submitted a chapter and want to add a multimedia element, let me know and we can make that happen, too. I started The UnSlut Project in 2013 by sharing my own middle school diary entries, from when I was targeted as the school "slut", here on Wattpad. This collection expands the project to include the shared experiences of the Wattpad community, whether the writer has been the victim or witness of sexual bullying or "slut" shaming, or whether they just want to share their thoughts. As these essays demonstrate, these issues have affected and continue to affect many of our lives in deep, often dangerous ways. If you're currently being sexually bullied, you're not alone. It gets better. Please use these stories to expand your understanding of this widespread problem, and comment respectfully. I was the 6th-grade "slut." And I kept a diary. So I decided to create The UnSlut Project in the hopes that my own diary entries could provide some perspective to girls who currently feel trapped and ashamed. I am publishing these entries one at a time, without changing a single word except for the names of the people involved. My limited commentary, which is confined to brackets in each entry, is meant to provide the relief of my current perspective, fifteen years later. The UnSlut Project: Working to undo the dangerous slut shaming in our schools, communities, media, and culture by sharing knowledge and experiences.

I've struggled with body image issues since middle school, and during my freshman year of college I developed a pretty severe eating disorder. I lived in denial for months by telling myself that it was "nothing serious," just something I was doing to make myself feel special, or for the sake of having a dramatic secret. By participating in this campaign by the new Netflix series "To the Bone," I'm honored to share how I came to terms with my mental illness for what it really was, and I hope to reach girls who might be telling themselves something similar.
