A group consisting of Thomas, Skylar, Newt, Frypan, Brenda, and Jorge head to the Last City in hopes of rescuing Minho from WCKD. Skylar is constantly haunted by her past and doesn't know if she should tell anyone about her struggles. With the help of an unexpected ally, the group formulates a plan to get Minho back. Without the two even realizing, Newt and Skylar grow closer through each other's own struggles. Newt fears what might become of him, but Skylar might be just the person he needs to survive. For instance, knocking someone out in less then five seconds, or, knowing how to use a small pocket knife to take someone out. As she continues her journey she learns more about her past.
