He's not the typical guy that girls like so he has a hard time believing that a girl like her could actually like someone like him. It doesn't take long for him to fall in love. Will moves back to Hawkins, excited to see the party, and most importantly, his childhood bestfriend Mike. The brunette boy returns to meet a new , different , distant.. Him, who was never.. the same. They have a huge argument, Will runs away... to a fatal accident.

so uhm.. that wrecked me. so she basically ran away. mike is destroyed when el dies. it doesn't show on the outside. but on the inside, deep in his heart where his love for el is, he contemplates about joining her. but he has this small hope, that maybe, just maybe, she's still out there. after writing his rough draft, he decides to look for her. they can call him insane but he won't give up that easy. not for her.
