New century. Same skillet. Zero chill.
In 2116 aboard Sector Neo-Atlanta, The Love Train Hover-Diner is the last authentic soul-food joint left standing in a world of synthetic nutrient pills. Run by the loud, skillet-wielding Big Mama Gertie, her grid-hacking freeloading brother Uncle Roscoe, and her melodramatic daughter Brenda, the diner serves up heavy grease, hot biscuits, and non-stop family dysfunction.
At the center of the storm is Brenda's sensible son, Marcus ("Marc"), who gets caught in a vicious daily catfight between his two territorial coworkers, Kiki and Raven. The rivalry explodes when Raven's wild younger sister, Roxie, struts through the diner doors with a marriage license-revealing that Marc drunkenly tied the knot with her during a blackout weekend in Neo-Honolulu.
Before the fur flies, the diner doors blast open for Aunt Cordelia ("Big Cordy")-Gertie's six-foot-one, muumuu-wearing, pistol-packing older sister who's dodging Sector Marshals. Packing a high-voltage laser piece in her purse and zero tolerance for foolishness, Aunt Cordy steps in to lay down the law, knock heads together, and save the diner from total destruction.
