الفكرة التي تدور حول امرأة (دالي) تحاول فعل الخير فتجد نفسها متورطة مع مجرم (فراس) يطاردها القدر بسببه، هي تيمة "البطل الهارب" المحببة في الروايات.

تدور القصة حول بطلة (أنا )تجد نفسها عالقة بين ( أريون)، المدير الغامض ذو السلطة الذي يغويها برقصة فوق السحاب ثم يدفعها إلى هاوية المصير (الحادث والمشفى) ، وبين ( حبيب، ) الذي يطاردها بكلماته المكررة وخساراته المتتالية أمام كبريائها. هي صراع بين رغبة أريون في التملك، وعجز حبيب عن الاحتفاظ بها، وتمرد البطلة التي تقرر في النهاية كسر القيد؛ فترمي مفتاح أحدهما في النافورة، وتكتب للآخر رسالة وداع باردة، معلنةً انتصارها على "لعبة الرجال" التي أرادت سجنها في دور الضحية.
