Of course these letters are to be anonymous so no one will ever know that it is her, so she can share without fear of rejection so she does just that. Hayden is confused when he first receives the letter but with each one he receives he learns more about this random girl and her story. He becomes infatuated he wants to know her story, to know her. she says she will explain it all in the hundredth letter, only to stop at ninety-nine. she leaves her story unfinished and leaves this boy alone and confused when he never received that hundredth letter. she leaves him alone with a guilty conscious and ninety-nine letters.
