It's the 100th Annual Hunger Games. The 4th Quarter Quell. Ever since Katniss Everdeen sparked the rebellion 25 years ago, the Capitol has never been the same. Since the 77th Annual Hunger Games, Capitol children ages 12-18 years old are forced to participate in the Games, through the reaping. Mentors are from the districts, and sometimes Capitol winners.
Tanya Mellark-Everdeen is a 17 year old girl who grew up free from the threat of being chosen for the Games. However, this year for the 100th Games she is required to become a mentor. And her tribute is none other than Iris Snow, the former dictator President Snow's second granddaughter. Tanya is reluctant to mentor someone related to a bloodline that has caused so much harm in the world. But the more Iris opens up to her, the more Tanya realizes there is more to the girl than she ever realized. Soon they start catching feelings, but Iris's number one priority is surviving the Games. There are already enough people from the Districts cheering for her death. Will she be able to survive the cruelty of the Capitol Games, regardless of her privileged yet fallen background as a Snow?
