A Kindred's Embrace: An ethereal look at a special winter's night, seen from the perspective of an unusual protagonist - in just 500 words! Mr Big Stuff: This was my contribution in the Decameron 2.0 anthology, which featured 110 Wattpad authors. Flash Fiction, challenges, fun short things, including this: This is my entry to @ScienceFiction's Challenge 8: The Duoabble. The goal of this challenge is to write a story about a teenager and an alien life form in EXACTLY 200 words. The scoop: Girl meets alien. Alien tells her that other aliens will attack Earth soon. Girl (kind of) tries to convince people. Alien is not impressed with her "save the world" skills. Earth gets sort of...forgotten about. Oops! Cover photo by Stephendotcarter. It's always "fun in the sun" when you're young. Even on those days when no friends are around, the youth in you, and your creativity, have a way of filling days with joy--and making every second count. But the carefree attitude, and the lifestyle that you so value in childhood, can have dire consequences. That is, if you're not observant of your surroundings. One has always been the loneliest number. Strength in numbers has always been a sensible truism. But innocence without the latter, may just be when you find yourself playing, for what will be your last time.
