He knows his life has continued to go downhill after losing Valerie, but he hasn't been able to find her. It's like she just...disappeared. And then there's poor little Gracie. Her mother has insisted for her entire life that her father was just a casual one-night-stand and she doesn't remember his name, but Grace can't help but imagine that her father is out there somewhere, longing for his little girl as much as she longs for him.
