It's April 19, 1779 in Lexington, and the calm forest of Whistling Wood is in danger. Willow the fox has never been loud enough to be heard by anyone else, even when she has something good to say. White'Bone the dog had been left in the woods by his owner, who is currently fighting in the American Revolution. Wandering out in the world full of predators might not be the best way to stay safe, but to Gecko, happiness and fun is what matters more. And Paw, a young brown raccoon, lost her mother mysteriously. She knows her father has the answer, but he won't say anything. And when her father gets worried and tries to keep her safe and inside, Paw doesn't want to put anyone else in her forest in danger. Everyone matters, and sometimes risks need to be taken to prove that right. Tag along with these four unlikely heroes as they journey through times of the American Revolution, risking lives and traveling far to save what matters most: everyone and every soul.
