The secret seemed to be etched across my face, the words "traitor" branded on my forehead. I wondered how everyone would feel if they knew what I'd just done, if they knew the treason and danger I'd just committed myself too. If they knew that the helpless girl in the pink dress was something more than a background character. ... It's 1776, and the Revolutionary War is in full swing. Everyday men fight and die for their country on the battlefield, and people grow poorer and poorer everyday as King George continues to tax the colonies. But while civilians drop like flies, nineteen year old Rose and her family are safe in England and as close as ever to King George and his obnoxious daughter Princess Sophia. Rose has a life that one would dream of; endless money and luxury, marriage offerings from every suitor in town, and the privilege of having the royal family in the palm of her hand. Except there's one flaw to Rose's perfect life: she hates it. While everyone else is jealous of Rose's wealth and luck, all Rose wants is to return to her hometown Virginia and get away from Princess Sophia and her minions. But then Rose meets Fiona. She's leader of the Shadow Group, a group of overlooked woman who sneak information from the British and send it to the colonies. Desperate to escape her living nightmare, Rose joins and her luck starts to change. Soon she's secretly attending meetings and flirting information out of her chosen suitor to help her hometown; until the ultimate betrayal tears the group apart. Will Rose make it out of Britain and live the life she's always wanted or to persevere her family's reputation? Or will she crumble under the King's careful thumb and break free forever? It's time Britain realized that it's not just the colonies ready for a rebellion. COMPLETED

**This book won't follow the real plot of the musical, just a bit at some parts** The female bartender passed a drink to the young woman. "So... Where are you coming from, miss?" The girl drank a little before questioning: "How did you know I wasn't american?" The other woman grabbed a bottle herself and smirked. "Just figured it out. Unfortunately, I've seen many people in my life. There are specific types of american women, and you clearly don't belong to any of them." "Interesting..." the younger mumbled. "So?" "...I'm from Caribbean" she said and then added "I'm Alexandra Hamilton." "Alexandra Hamilton...." The bartender whispered, like she had heard the name before, even though that wasn't true. "So, why the fuss to come all the way down here, Alexandra Hamilton?" Alexandra smiled at the way the older female spoke. "I want to join the revolution against the king" the light coming through her eyes was something more than evident. The bartender paused, not sure what to say, and them chuckled "A woman? In war? That would be 'the death of the new nation' ", she spitted, obviously quoting someone elses' words. "...What?" The bartender decided to drink a little from the bottle she was holding. "Women can't have such responsible positions. Didn't you know? We lack organised and coherent thought. If we mix up, we are becoming abettors to the death of the new nation" "... Why do you say that?" ... "I don't say that. They do." ................................................................................. Basically a hamilton genderbend au, but the only ones that are gender swapped are Alexander, Eliza and Angelica. I thought it'd be intriguing to see the story from a woman's perspective, as she would be in a tottaly men environment, the war and the congress, and I wondered how it'd turn out. *It might contain some lams. Might.*

When Savannah Sorrentino wakes up in the woods with three other people, they discover that it's January 4, 1776, before America was created. They must work together to survive and make it back to the present. Note: I've lived in so many places (in & out of the US) so I might confuse all of you with my vocabulary.... I'm currently editing this, so if a chapter has updated, I jut fixed typos and stuff! It's no different! Highest Rank: #505 in Science Fiction --------------------------------------------------------------------- My favorite lines: "Do any of you speak Native Amer...hey there..." ""Sir, are you looking for a woman to court? This is my daughter, Annabelle" Okay, this officially got weird." "Let's not kill anyone...spare me the PTSD" "Um, I asked him if there was a baby born recently... he said something about pickles, and a goat." "You figure a MI-6 agent and a CIA agent could take off a dress" "I think I broke my tailbone, but I'm good." "You know, normally I'm a vegetarian, but I haven't eaten in what, 54 years? So, I'm just going to eat this...meat... happily." "Shizzle sticks? Did you just say shizzle sticks?" "I'm going to be stuck with you idiots for the next 240, years, you might as well know" "This is some love triangle shi....zzle sticks" "Let's not fall eight feet, like Savannah did." "Aw, that what I had planned." "Why am I wearing pants? Fight me in a dual and then we can talk about pants."
