The world had already ended. It should have died permanently. All life should have continued to deteriorate until extinction, an irreversible sequence.
But even the universe itself seemed to refuse.
Earth bore a hidden gift discovered by the remnants of humanity. A miracle capable of restoring what was lost. A classified element believed to be purposed for rebirth and evolution, though evolution was an understatement.
AA4.
Rumored to be the "all existing god clay."
Massive domes conceal hypercities housing the world's remaining population from the warped landscape beyond. Mutated monstrosities, vampiric flora, and supernatural phenomena now roam an Earth that no longer resembles its former self.
The present has become an anchor on a fragile plane. A gravitational sinkhole in the timeline, pulling in relics, prehistoric apex predators, and even people from different points in the past.
Zaqueer is a seventeen-year-old boy who isn't some hero. He isn't adventurous or daring. All he wants is to spend time with his friends and father, play games, and read books about the old world within the comfort of his dome city.
He was just supposed to be the kid with the weird name.
But after his dome is destroyed, Zaqueer is thrown into the dangers of the outside world. Before the attack, his father leaves him with a strange warning:
"Don't Wake..."
Following the hypertrain rails toward the next dome, Zaqueer encounters a cast of time-displaced individuals searching for a way back home. The anomalies they face are things that should not exist.
But death keeps fleeing from him, leaving only the sting of molten glass in his veins.
Zaqueer begins to realize he isn't who he thinks he is. Nor what.
The path laid before him may not be his own.
Zaqueer is past tense.
And whatever he's becoming...
The world knows.
