The night Maelys was born, a storm made a decision for her. A desperate woman, a coerced midwife, and a courtyard where someone died in the rain conspired to place one infant in a palace and erase another from the record entirely. Twenty-two years later, someone has come to unmake it, and she has twenty-two years of righteous fury, a powerful patron, and the specific weapon of a truth that supports multiple stories at once. Raised in the painted corridors and orange-blossom courtyards of Solenir Palace, Maelys knows how to read a room before she enters it, how to wear humor like armor over something more serious underneath, and how to survive in a court that admires her with one hand and doubts her with the other. She has been exceptional here her entire life. She knows what exceptions are for. When the girl she unknowingly replaced arrives with documents, damage, and the kind of righteous anger that is the most dangerous kind because it is not entirely wrong, nothing careful is enough anymore. With a conspiracy threading through the court's most elegant rooms, a bodyguard who has been keeping a report in a locked box for eight years waiting for the right person to receive it, and a crown prince who asks before he touches and is not without fault and is learning the difference between those two facts, Maelys must fight for her name, her life, and the identity she has spent twenty-two years choosing rather than receiving. This is a slow burn interracial historical romance with explicit intimacy, graphic violence, and a world that does not soften its edges for the comfort of anyone in it. It is a story about what is owed and what is chosen, about love as a continuous practice rather than a destination, about darkness that stays and is carried rather than resolved, and about a woman who refuses, repeatedly, in every room that tries to define her, to let anyone else decide who she is. Dark. Tender. Permanent. Earned. ©️ _RelleLebby_ // R. L.

she was a scattered palette filled with every colour and he was the calm painter who envisioned the whole world through her on his canvas. A tale set in the late 1800s, India when feminism was a taboo while patriarchy and misogyny was a norm. Labanya, an eight year old girl who was a little too curious for her age and gender was tied to Rudrajit, an eleven year old boy who was a bit too composed and soft for his age and gender by the sacred bond of marriage. What would this marriage bring about in the lives of these young souls who were yet to discover their own selves? N.B - This story revolves not only around the romance between the two main character but also focuses on the important aspects and lessons that one could learn from this story by living through the characters and their mindsets while also getting to know about the very different environment of those time. I do not intend to impersonate or resemble any real personalities through my story as it's purely my imagination. Mention of real places and a few historic personalities are there just to add depth to the story and make it realistic.

For years, Elias Norman has lived with the phantoms of his past. Once a student at the prestigious Eliszt Academy, he spent his youth alongside a small yet close group of friends, among them the enigmatic Alexander Moore-a young man whose influence would alter the course of his life forever. Now, years later, Elias finds himself compelled to revisit those memories through a series of letters addressed to the one person he may never see again. As Elias recounts lost friendships, first loves, and haunting tragedies, a troubling question begins to emerge: how much of the past was reality? As the past continues to haunt him, the version of events he has cherished for years begins to unravel. People remember the same moments differently. Names are forgotten. Details refuse to align. And at the center of every contradiction stands Alexander. A haunting tale of memory and isolation told through the perspective of a broken man, Letters to a Man Who Does Not Exist explores the fragile line between truth and remembrance-and what remains when the past no longer recognizes us.

When Madalene Montgomery returns to London after years away, she has only one goal: to secure an impressive proposal of marriage in her first season as a London debutante. Yet her reunion with the affluent Radcliffe family threatens the undoing of all her carefully laid plans. Enter Jacob Radcliffe, the older brother of her closest childhood friends, now a man of the ton -- handsome, popular, alluring --- and totally out of bounds according to Madalene's family. Not that it seems to matter much, seeing as upon reacquaintance, Jacob quickly declares he wants nothing to do with her. Yet as she guides her way through a season of endless, glittering ballrooms, dimlit garden-parties and chance encounters with the very same Radcliffe son who claims to loathe her, Madalene soon learns there are no rules when it comes to matters of the heart, and that to follow duty and save her family from ruin, she may have to sacrifice her one true chance at love.
