Historias de 1820s

This is only the first small section of my book Dear Julia. It is not finished. I will gradually be adding the rest of the book chapter by chapter onto this document. Eventually the entire book will be on here. Please tell me what you think.

I am sure that, a long time ago, fate decided that the moment I set eyes on my uncle I should hate him; and I did, I do and I always shall do. I had never met a fouler man. Based primarily on Victor Hugo's novel, with some reference to the musical and the 2012 film. Some parts also inspired by Henry Mayhew's London Labour and the London Poor. I will confess myself to be more of a historian than an author, and as such, this book is primarily an attempt to bring some history into a retelling of the aspect of Les Miserables that seems to have captured so many people's imaginations - that is to say, the June Rebellion of 1832 and the lead up to it. {Enjolras x OC}
