1870. Riding alone through the Dakota Territory, the German Adventurer Martin Wolf meets a Native American of mixed heritage. Alex, the Mandan saves his life after an attack of hostile Comanche when Wolf develops wound fever through an arrowhead in his shoulder. A friendship develops between them and Wolf is drawn into the conflict that exists between the red and white at the time.
As they travel through the 'Indian Territory', the last free stronghold of the native man, they are confronted with dangers and challenges that will put their friendship to the test.
And then there is the question of spirituality, because Alex is a believer and uniquely so. Having been raised in both worlds he knows the way of his people and he knows the way of the white man. The unique combination places him far ahead in time, in his spiritual beliefs.
Author's note:
I wish not to offend anyone by calling native aboriginal people 'Indians', however, it is difficult not to use the word in a time and world where this was common place. This is a historical novel and I am trying to paint a picture as close to the truth as is possible to me.
This is going to be a book with more than thirty chapters. Let me know what you think.
Sorry people, the descriptions are a little too descriptive. I will have to amend those so you don't fall asleep in the desctiption labyrinth.
