Sixteen-year-old Amélie Fontaine has lost everything. After both of her parents die, she is sent across the ocean to America, where she is taken in by her mother's older sister, Margaret Lankford. But life on the Lankford farm is nothing like the life Amelie left behind. Margaret is strict, the countryside is unfamiliar, and the people living beyond the woods are everything she has been warned to stay away from. Rain Nakoa is the leader of his people, living with his family on land not far from the Lankford farm. Between the two families lies a stretch of unclaimed land, belonging to neither of them. It is there that Amélie meets Wolf. For her whole life, she has been taught to fear people like him, and he has been taught to be wary of people like her. But as their lives become tangled together, the land between their homes begins to feel smaller and smaller. Because sometimes the greatest distance between two people isn't measured in miles. It's measured in their beliefs. ... Hi everyone! I just want to give a little warning to anyone reading this - english is my second language and although I am very advanced in it, I do apologise in advance for any mistakes I may make while writing. In 1882, Doctor Jane Barber has no shortage of problems. From being scrutinised at work for her gender, judged for her youth, and undermined by society as a whole, shes had quite enough. The Boer War was a traumatic experience on its own, but on top of that, Jane now has to find accommodation in London on her own- as the years she should've spent meeting a man and settling down, she spent in a trench tending to wounds. Detective Inspector Arthur Murphy is in need of a roommate. His last was too whiny, the one before that too loud. Another whistled too much, and a brief encounter with one man's dog was enough for Arthur to evict him immediately. When his sister Ada finally puts her foot down, and finds him a roommate herself. Which is how Arthur comes home one day to find his new roommate: a woman. If the Boer War was explosive, Jane and Arthur sharing a shabby flat in London is practically a world war. Spilled tea, scattered case files, and one meddling doctor who won't stop tidying his desk. Arthur nearly kills Jane. Jane nearly kills Arthur. And no, for the last time, as they have to tell many people, they are not married. | Work In Progress Story | Will become a series once this book is complete | Please vote and comment |

"Some stories are not written by fate-they are carried through time." Vincent was a poet who believed every verse had its place upon the page. But one quiet night, beneath the glow of a lonely streetlamp and the relentless hands of an unfamiliar clock, time itself unraveled before his eyes. When he awakens in the year 1880, nothing is familiar-not the streets, not the people, not even the books that once brought him comfort. Lost between centuries, Vincent finds refuge in a place where ink still dries beneath feathered quills, letters are penned by hand, and every stranger greets him with unexpected kindness. As he searches for a way home, he discovers that some encounters are no coincidence, some pages are destined to be written, and some poems echo across generations.

Even after solving hundreds of cases, Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson think they have seen everything there is to see the English crime pool. However one case comes along that makes them question not only their senses, but how they view their partners. I don't own the Sherlock characters or story line. I do own Madison and her storyline. Spin off of Loving a Holmes and New Family Ties. I don't know how did the fan art. If you do please let me know so I can credit them.

Could a poltergeist have followed the family on their voyage across the Atlantic? Her grandfathers tale sends chills down her spine and terrifies her to her core.
