She lost her mother first and then grandparents while she grew up.When her grandparents died,the Kais took care of her and trains her to defend herself and when she was done training she went back home to her Uncle and Aunt.Sometimes Goku goes with her to the Kais world to train with Kibito.It is sometimes funny because Kibito doesn't want to fight with him every time he visits them.
