Winter, 1917. Dorothy never really thought that war would take her older brother, but like so many others before him, Ian enlisted and departed Canada in khaki, leaving Dorothy to care for the youngest Gaston, Charlie. The return of her employer's son eats away at Dorothy: why should he, the rich man's son, the spoiled brat, be back home sleeping in his bed while her brother sleeps in the muck somewhere in France or Belgium? Robbie Monroe isn't the brat who ran off for a great adventure. Nearly deaf in one ear and deeply lonely, he is a man struggling to put his life back together after his time "over there," and Dorothy seems to be the only one he can talk to. She doesn't want to trust him but she can't help it, and Dorothy soon finds herself with something she didn't realize she desperately needed: a friend. Before the war's end, fate has one final reminder for Dorothy that happy endings don't always happen in real life, no matter how much she tells herself they can. Set in in the weeks before the 1917 Halifax Explosion, Shadows May Fall is a non-traditional World War I romance.

In 1912, the Lutece twins-bored with merely observing constants and variables-decide to conduct their most audacious experiment yet: they tear Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon from the moment after the White Frost is defeated on her world and drop her, disoriented and grieving, into the skies above floating city of Columbia. Their mission is simple yet impossible: "Free the Lamb from her tower... and see what happens when two bloodlines that should never meet finally touch." Ciri, stripped of her allies and her world, must navigate the flying city's zealotry, racism, and plasmatic horrors using only her blade, her Elder Blood flashes, and a growing, terrifying affection for the imprisoned girl she has been sent to save: Elizabeth Comstock.

It's 1917 in the tiny town of Cobbingham, England. Rowena Griffinson turns 18 tonight. And all 17 years of her disappointing life have been spent in the Griffinson Manor, up until now. No friends. No outside. No love. At least not from her father, Mr. Merle Griffinson, current owner of the manor, and not to mention emotionless and distant. Rowena and Mr. Griffinson rarely speak, until a fight on the night of her 18th birthday where things take a turn for the worse. After their big blowout, Rowena runs into (literally) a boy her age who also seems to be in trouble... Each with their own issues, they decide to team up. But Rowena has another problem not even she is aware of. As each night creeps closer, so does her worst nightmare. Or...blessing? What secrets lie beyond the manor for Rowena? And what secrets lie beneath Shimmer Lake? *This is a work of fiction, all people, places and events are purely fictional. That being said, please enjoy SHIMMER LAKE! 😽*

❝ If you look in your dictionary you will find: Titans - A race of people vainly striving to overcome the forces of nature. Could anything be more unfortunate than such a name, anything more significant? ❞ - Arthur Rostron, Captain of the rescue ship Carpathia. ── ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ── 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐂, the most famous maritime vessel to ever grace the Atlantic Ocean. She was allegedly proclaimed to be "almost unsinkable", and touted as the greatest innovation of the Edwardian Age. To this day, her story - passed down for generations - serves as a cautionary tale in various fashions. When one considers the matter of maritime disasters, the sinking of the RMS Titanic is the first to escape their lips. But will we ever really know what precisely occurred on that tragic night? The answer to such a question is, unfortunately, no - but that does not mean that speculation cannot occur. Published here for the first time at long last is a series of vignettes offering glimpses into the Titanic's birth, life, and death. Told through the perspectives of some of the most famous individuals aboard this notorious ship, these vignettes were penned with the intention of conceptualizing a plausible definition of the specifics which will forever remain unknown. It is my hope that these vignettes will bring their subjects back to life through the written word, and render them human to us once more. ── ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ── ⠀⠀ ── Please note that several pieces of writing within this book are compliant with or contain elements of the canonical storyline for James Cameron's 1997 Titanic.

***Unedited*** A companion story to my novel Shadows May Fall. *Folks who have been reading along - you may have noticed that some of the parts have been unpublished (the ones set in 1904 and 1908.) The reason for this is that while I really enjoyed delving into the past with these characters and fleshing out Daniel and Lillian, they weren't really adding anything and coming up with a third one to fill the gap was just that -- filling the gap. I'll post them over at my website once this story is complete.

Shira Wesley didn't choose Redemption Ridge. She was sent. Exiled from her church and family, Shira arrives in the quiet mountain town under the care of her aunt Lettie-the midwife, and the only relative still speaking to her. With her older brother Jude keeping watch and reporting every step of her "restoration," Shira tries to keep her head down, follow the rules, and stay invisible. But Redemption Ridge has a way of working itself into the cracks. Despite the ever-watchful eye of home, Shira begins to assist her aunt in the quiet work of birth and healing-never expecting how it might begin to heal her too. As her guarded world slowly widens, two men begin to see her for more than her past: Kavi Abraham, a gentle and devout immigrant with wounds of his own, and Lucas, a steadfast townsman with a kind smile and steady faith. Each offers a glimpse of something she thought she'd forfeited-affection, dignity, and perhaps even a future. Torn between what she owes and what she longs for, Shira must decide if she will live under the weight of others' expectations-or finally begin to live the story Yahweh has written for her. Rich with longing, grace, and quiet hope, Redemption Ridge is a tender portrait of identity, second chances, and the unseen hand of a sovereign God at work in unlikely places.
