From 1999 to 2005, Light reigned over the world as a "God" and a mass murderer known to the world as Kira. Meanwhile, more than halfway across the world, Marie tries to live her life as any other person would, as she deals with loss, fake friends, lies, and the effect that Kira has placed on the world. In 1999, not only does Light find the Death Note and decides to use it to rid the world of evil, but Marie tries to get by as propaganda rises with the Y2K scare. The propaganda dies down when Kira rises and Marie is convinced her prayers have been answered. However, she doesn't know the monster that Kira will become.

For those of you who are unaware, this is a timeline for all the things that happen in Death Note: The Next Kira. First, I must warn you that, unlike the other story that I published, this WILL contain spoilers for Death Note: The Next Kira. SO BE WARNED! Anyway, please enjoy!
