No clue where this is going, but isn't that how all journeys start? Let's begin this story, shall we traveler? Left with an unstable mind and only skills to practice you begin to weave your fate in another direction. This books is written with "you" and "your" to address you, the reader. (The girl on the book's cover is not drawn by me)

A 14 year old girl is bullied every day and she is twisted(not literally) between life, death, and love.

Class goes by in a blur, and before I can realize it, the bells ring for lunch. I grab a seat next to the only people I know here, greeting them and pulling out my lunchbox. Canista is here, but she's turned around talking to her boyfriend, Fred. They're always either fighting or gushing over one another (atleast that's what it feels like). Sarah is on her phone while eating next to Sky, who probably, once again, didn't bring lunch. Sky has black hair, about the same tone as mine, but her hair is shorter and messier. I don't think she brushes it often. She's a lot skinnier than me, which is saying something. But she's quiet, and rarely speaks her mind around others. She also has robot ears, and personally, I think it's really cool. I thought James was going to be here this week, but I guess he's on another ridiculously long vacation. "Hey guys!" Midnight chimes, as she puts her tray down to my right and sits. A chorus of greetings go around the table, then it's back to the normal of lunch here. Midnight has vibrant, purple hair, dyed I'm guessing. She goes by Mid most of the time, but I don't really know a whole lot about her in particular. - Credit to @CanistaTheFoxiffran, @_TacoBaco_, and @MidnightTheFox for their OCs! A short story I wrote for my creative writing class.

This story is based on an alternate universe (AU) scenario that I'd seen once and wanted to write about. It can be a self insert, as the protagonist will remain nameless and gender neutral because the story is in first person. ALSO the person the protagonist is focusing on will remain nameless as well, however they are male. There will be other characters too, so don't worry.

Emma Feara was a completely normal girl, living at home with her dad, seventeen years old, a whole future ahead of her. Then she falls down a set of stairs. She finds herself in an institute with hundreds of kids that are just like her. Unordinary. Unusual, not normal, out of place in society. Everyone in the institute has something about them that makes them these things. They all have a Flair. One can read her mind, another can in one second be standing right in front of you and the next be on the other side of the country. It makes them special. Emma finds herself caught up in the world for a second before she realizes that coming to it might have been a mistake. She gets caught between life and death, yes or no, and the danger that this strange new world's war has to offer. The biggest life altering choices, for her and the rest of the world, are on her shoulders. Will she hide away and leave it to the others, or seek out the answer and the conclusion to this war?
