Saved from the end of the world by The Society; a small community 22,000 feet above Earth's surface, seventeen year old Ivy Stone lives with her parents and younger sister under its rule. After Ivy earns a position apart of the Exploration Unit, she quickly becomes disillusioned about what goes on behind the scenes. Forced to keep the harmful nature of the air creatures that plague The Society and what really happens to the dead a secret, she finds herself exiled by President Khamar. Ivy embarks on a journey to find a hidden civilization on Earth's surface in order to prevent the President of The Society from killing thousands of people. Along the way, she comes to learn her purpose in life, and accepts her fate for the good of the universe.

What happens when Dr. Alice Evanston makes a major scientific breakthrough- a serum that'll help her wheelchair confined husband, Matthew to walk again....but, ends up accidentally turning him into a monster?

" Shhhh, dont make a sound. " i felt a grip around my neck as i felt his hot breath behind my ear lobe. " Or i'll kill you and your husband here at this moment. " he whispered as i felt something sharp on my neck that was piercing the surface of my silky skin. My heart was pounding heavily. My breathing became strained causing me to inhale and exhale faster and heavier. We stood in my bedroom feet away from my sleeping husband. He pulls me closer towards his body moving backwards through the hallway. I scanned the hallway's clock, it was 2am. I could only follow him, not wanting to argue or else my life would end here. " You're mine " he whispered in a husky tone placing a soft kiss on the back of my earlobe. He hit the back of my head using the back of the knife. I was seeing double, everything around me started spinning, i was feeling dizzy. I was groaning at the pain, looking down the stairs. It was the last thing i saw before the pain over attacked me and i blacked out.

He failed to express his love when she poured her soul into loving him. In the end, they were unsure of which chances they would regret not taking, for an untimely death hid beneath their fake smiles. If it were not for my helplessness, I would have never even been here in the first place. But yes, I needed his help before it was too late and my grades and the ground-level were equally at height. So I was expecting him to be cocky, make a huge deal out of him. But I was definitely not expecting what stumbled out of his mouth. ❝Okay, I'll tutor you Brown. But you also have to agree to what I say,❞ he said as his lips twitched upwards into his infamous signature smirk. ❝And what is that may I ask?❞ I asked him as I crossed my arms against my chest. ❝You have to be my friend,❞ he said, the little smirk vanishing, and in its place was a smile I wasn't used to. ♡ When something terrible happens in the life of the 'Nerd Of the School', a title she earned back in the middle school, Cadence Brown is shaken.
