They soon discover that the planet is teeming with life, including a sentient species of humanoid creatures that call themselves the "Anu." The Anu are a highly spiritual and advanced society, living in harmony with nature and each other. They possess a deep connection to the planet and its ecosystems, and they view the arrival of the humans as a threat to their way of life.
