this is for the 30 day challenge and i hope you will read this story. i'm telling my story to you so that you know that your not alone. i'm telling you this and i'm only saying this once. don't make people suffer to the point where they hurt themselves so bad that they can never go back and there only way to feel is to feel pain, or sadness. please don't do it.

Let me tell you a story, a story about a young lady by the name of Annabelle. The year was 1824 and Annabel was visiting her uncle, he was an inventor. the thing is he went into the basement and never came out, after claiming he invented something dangerous... or is she? or was she? or is it?

A Boy in Pieces follows Tom, a quiet boy shaped by loss, neglect, and long stretches of silence. He lives carefully, keeps distance, and measures every word, since pain taught him caution early. His days revolve around routine and isolation, with memories intruding when he least expects them. Connection unsettles him, yet he aches for it, torn between wanting to be seen and fearing the cost. As small moments of care enter his life, Tom resists, tests boundaries, and slowly confronts the truth of his past. Healing does not arrive clean or complete. The story traces survival, self awareness, and the fragile process of learning worth while carrying scars.
