(And there's also a mysterious senior who's been messaging her all summer that she has to meet before they graduate? But that's the least of her worries.) On a warm summer evening, an energetic woman named Elara meandered into the nursery(enchanted garden), drawn by the mumbles of the breeze and the tempting scent of roses. As she wandered through the maze of blooming blooms, she unintentionally found a stupendous blossom greenery that stood separated among the rest. Its petals were a vivacious shade of ruby, and its fragrance consumed the space with a hypnotizing loveliness.

This short story was originally published on my Tumblr page almost exactly two years ago. It was part of a (sadly failed) 30 day writing challenge. I found the challenge on Chrys Fey's blog: http://writewithfey.blogspot.ca/2013/07/chrys-feys-30-day-writing-challenge.html This was the first task: "Start a Piece with "Once upon a time..." Basically, this is what happens when I've been thinking about how I should be writing and then I get prompted to write.. it's a little meta.. Enjoy!

Read this...don't read this. I don't care. (Warning grammar is not that great) This is a 30 day writing challenge. I love writing, however, adulating has gotten in my way lately. I'm doing this on a public platform so that I feel as if someone is going to be reading this everyday. Maybe their rooting for me or waiting for me to fail. This is my 30 Day Writing Challenge, which obviously means I'll be updating everyday for 30 days. The rules are simple, for each day of the month, write about the designated topic for that day.
