Instead of a prompt, this assignment came with a set of two pictures. One of an interesting graveyard with an angel statue in the center, or one of a lock and key. Of course, I chose the graveyard. Now, I did get a little lazy with this one (partially because I was sore over losing Mr Bumble from my draft), and I reused the characters from my first assignment, expanding them more as at the time I was considering writing a story based on the scenario. Enjoy!

*** "Hey! How can I . . ." he trailed off suddenly, glancing up from the tablet at me. In that split second, I noted two things. One, the guy looked like a second-year university student just like me. He had straight black hair that fell just above his ears, warm brown eyes, and round silver wire-framed glasses. Dully, I noticed that he was also quite good-looking. Two, I saw it in his face when he took in my expression and managed to deduce that today was not a good day. ** Break-ups are always hard. Alina Song knows this as well as the next person. No matter what though, they always hurt. Every time. When she broke up with her ex-boyfriend of two years, Alina was left heartbroken in the midst of what was supposed to be a summer of joy. However, the sun always rises again, even when the nights are particularly long and cold. And so it was for her as well. Only this time, the light came from a restaurant of comforting memories, a soothing drink, and a simple smile from an understanding stranger who would soon become her next sun.
