5 Seconds of Summer is a famous Australian punk rock band that toured with One Direction. They have many supportive fans but that also have people that want nothing more than to see them fail. And who would be a better target for that than leader singer and most quiet band member Luke Hemmings? Charlene “Char” Bennett is just a normal girl that has endured horrific life experiences. She currently lives on the streets after escaping her abusive ex-boyfriend. She would do anything to have enough money to afford an apartment let alone a new pair of clothes but there is one problem: she is broke and friendless. When a strange man offers to pay her $100,000 to “ruin” a member of a band she has never heard of she has no choice but to agree. The job is simple: Make Luke Hemmings fall in love with you and then break his heart. But what if he wasn't the only one that was starting to feel something? Would they even have a chance if he knew what her original intentions were?
