| we get so disconnected | y/n idolised 5sos in her teens; her and her best friend surrounded themselves in the fandom, concerts and music. on y/n's eighteenth birthday in 2017 her and her best friend cut ties and went their separate ways. it hurt y/n, and so she cut all that they shared; including 5sos and their music. almost ten years later, it's 2025 and y/n finds herself diving back into the music she loved, the music that got her through tough times; the 5sos she loved. time heals a lot and she found she no longer fell into the feeling of loss and sadness when she listened to them again, she was healing. part of that healing process was travelling, meeting people and forming new connections. along the way she met Ashley, a guy who showed her what true friendship is, and he works in a recording studio in LA. With his position and connections, he gets her a steady job in the place; and that is where she meets her favourite drummer boy, ashton irwin from 5 seconds of summer.

When Luke walked away to keep her 'safe' from the flashing cameras of his world, he left Mandy standing in the wreckage. He thought he was sparing her. He didn't realize that instead of sitting in the ruins, she would sweep up the dust and build something impenetrable-trading her part time shift for NYU halls, and her tears for a title. While he was busy playing sold out arenas, she was rewriting her entire universe. Now, she is the one standing at the podium, and Luke is just a ghost from an early chapter she's already finished reading.
