As the daughter of District 4's head fisherman, sister of the mega-popular eighth grader, Annie Cresta, and friend of quite few, life is far from a joyride for 12 year old Hali Cresta. Without a mother, who perished at Hali's birth, she has been overwhelmed with a slight feeling of guilt for her entire life. What will happen when Hali is reaped, along with her best friend and sister's secret boyfriend, Finnick Odair, for the 65th Hunger Games? Read to find out. ~ PG-13 for strong language and violence ~

We do have some O/C's in this tho in case your confused (this is an A/U so the stuff that happened in the original hunger games series will not be in this) What would happen if The main charecters of Heroes of Olympus wound up living in Panem? FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE HUNGER GAMES IS, LOOK HERE : The "Hunger Games" plot revolves around a dystopian society where punishment for a previous rebellion has resulted in a televised event. One boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 from each district (there are 12 total) are selected at random and forced to participate in the Hunger Games, where “tributes” must fight to the death until only one is left standing. This summary is not written by me. There are two containers, one for the boys, and one for the girls. They both have slips of paper in them with the names of everyone ages 12-18 in the District. Someone pulls out a slip of paper, reads the name, and whoever's name it is, goes into the Games. If you see in the book something saying "the Games", it is referring to The Hunger Games.

Finnick thinks he has the perfect life or... as perfect as life can be in a time where everything and everyone is controlled by The Capitol. He has a close-knit family and a girl who has been his constant companion. Everything changes once his father drowns while doing President Snow's bidding. Finnick is heartbroken when his mother passes away after two weeks of his father's death. Now with the reaping only days away and a little sister to protect and feed, Finnick must make choices: choices he is too young to understand, and choices that could cost him his own life...
