Every one knows the story of how the star crossed lovers from district 12 won the hunger games. But what about the other districts. What if Cato and Clove had a relationship? What if they won? The story will have two endings. One that matches the book and one where the victors are from district 2. Clove has been training for one thing her entire life- winning the Hunger Games. She is the best knife thrower the training academy has ever seen and is obviously going into the games at some point. She just HAS to win the games, to prove herself to her dad. But at the end, will she want too? Cato has never been loved by his parents. They don't care that he trains harder than anyone else at the training center, or that he is the strongest in his grade. The only family member he loves is his little sister, and he'll do anything to protect her. He has to avenge his brother and make a better life for his sister, and the only way he can do that is win the games. Clove and Cato have never liked each other, but when its obvious they are the best candidates for tributes, they are forced to work and train together, and maybe learn a little too much about each other. Can they both make it out alive?

Will Cato and Clove find a way to escape the 74th Annual Hunger Games alive and together, or will each have to sacrifice themselves for each other?

I always wanted to write a fanfic about her POV of the hunger games, as she is such an interesting character. This is my first book, so please don't judge too much! Twisted. Just the word to explain the hunger games. After Clove and Cato's first kiss their worlds shatter. Entering the hunger games, both determined for their lover to be the victor even though that means the ultimate sacrifice. Death. Who will survive or will they both die? Loss is a greater pain than suffering and sacrifice.

Cato x Reader Listen, there will be some significant changes from the original HG books (obviously, otherwise, this would be boring). But this is still the 74th Hunger Games, The first significant change is you, Cato, and a few other vital tributes just turned 18. The beginning will seem a bit generic at first. However, if you try it and stick with it for the first few chapters, you may like it! I love the HG series but don't own any rights to the original story I decided to make this in a weird way; I want to bring a new perspective to the HG and those deemed as bad guys and that no one is good or bad IRL. Also, I wrote this because every Cato x Reader I read was making me want to gouge my eyes out like no way they could just fall in love so fast, and he quickly simps WE LOVE A GOOD SLOWBURN ROMANCE !!!

Winning the 69th games left 8th district Victor Azaylan Starfire inaudible, mentoring the 74th left her distraught, and now, possibly entering the 75th will leave her broken beyond repair. This is it, for her district she will fight for the rebellion, and she will fight for the one she loves.

Katniss and Peeta won the 74th Annual Hunger Games but, on their road to victory, twenty two children met their deaths. *oneshot*
