This shouldn't be me. What did I do to deserve what I got? I don't think I deserved the quarter quell. I don't think I deserve to find out a secret about two of my opponents that makes me almost unable to kill or hurt them in any way. I don't think I deserve to be ripped from my home and friends and thrown into the hunger games. And I definitely don't think I deserve to fall in love.

Ember Odair leads a rich life in District 4: she's the sister of the famous Finnick Odair, winner of the Hunger Games at just 14 years old, and she knows that everyone hopes that one day she will offer herself as a tribute. However, there's no need, because first her sister Ribelle is reaped and, the following year, she herself, at her first Reaping. This Odair "massacre" goes against all statistics and Ember will have to end her childhood too soon, forced to grow up early by the horrible world into which she was born. She will have to understand what and who is behind all this, defeat her inner demons and learn to do the most important thing of all in a place like Panem: accept death, even of the people she loves. This is her life path, from birth to freedom.

The 75th hunger games are about to begin. With the reaping the next day the hale pack is nervous. Their worst fear is for someone in the pack to be reaped. They don't want to watch a family member fight to the death. This this years hunger games is not a normal one. The quarter quell hunger games is not a normal one. Each district normally reaps two 12-18 old kids: one boy and one girl. But this year four teenagers will be reaped. Two girls and two boys. 48 tributes. But each district will fight as a team. Fight together and win together. No one sole survivor. On the day of the reaping, the Hale Pack heard some things they didn't want to... *I don't own any of the hunger games or teen wolf characters. This a flipped book of Catching Fire, so it's actually about Katniss getting hit by the force field, not Peeta. This book is in Peeta and Katniss's POV. What will happen to Katniss after she hits the force field? Will Finnick save her as he did Peeta? Also this book starts during the 75 Hunger Games, not at the very beginning, when the gong goes off.
