In the summer of 1959, Eliza Robertson (Willow Shields) moves next door to Gordie Lachance in Castle Rock Oregon. They become friends and she befriends his other friends. Chris and Eliza instantly fall for each other as the five of them take a two day trek to find the dead body of the missing Ray Brower.

A spin off of the beloved 80's movie Sixteen Candles, in which Samantha is no longer Samantha but rather a boy named Sam. With the occasion all but overshadowed by his sister's upcoming wedding, angst-ridden Sam faces his 16th birthday with typical adolescent dread.
