Deb sees Nelson falling away from their mission, and Wes sees it too. He'd always been a bit on the edge, but now... How was Deb to fix everything that was falling apart around her? This is an 863 Deb x Wes fan story. It is set in a separate timeline in which Deb and Wes still work at Syntec but Wes has seen the other timeline due to one of the experiments.
