Buck wollte einfach aufhören zu fallen. So stellte er sich das ganze Fiasko vor. Wie ein Fall aus 10.0000 Meter Höhe; erst kam der Unfall mit dem Drehleiterfahrzeug, dann die Lungenembolie und als das nicht genug war - das Universum hasste ihn wohl wirklich - der Tsunami. Immer wieder schreckte er nachts hoch und rief verzweifelt Christophers Namen oder war wieder zurück unter dem Truck. Nur das er sich ab und zu dort liegen und Hen und Chimney den Kopf schütteln sah. All things considered, Los Angeles wasn't a terrible place to end up when you're freshly twenty three. Sure, the city was no Pelican, North Carolina, but JJ Maybank liked it well enough. aka the OBX x 9-1-1 crossover that nobody asked for that I wrote anyway in which after JJ Maybank saves kid's life, Bobby Nash ends up adopting another impulsive white boy and Eddie Diaz just wants to take a break.

Elizabeth McKinley begins a new job as a Firefighter for the LAFD..sometimes working 8 hour shifts most days she has to sometimes leave her 15 year old daughter home alone most nights so She can spend long hours at work to pay for future college bills and health bills and trying to keep a meal on the table every single day with no help at all.. Eddie Diaz was also a firefighter for the LAFD..also working long shifts to provide for his son who is 14 and who also has CP and who is most times with a nanny and barely ever getting to see his father most days and who is also trying to provide a meal for him and his son every single day.. What happens when Elizabeth and Eddie meet and they start off on the wrong foot but then something happens and Eddies feelings change for the young Firefighter will her feelings also change for the young Firefighter too? Evan Buckley was a young firefighter in the LAFD he always loved to toot his own horn he thought he was all that and a bag of chips..well until he met Eddie Diaz that is..and something in him changed..buck always thought he was into women he had been with multiple of them he pretty much lost track at this point but he always felt..empty..until Eddie Diaz comes in the picture and changes his whole perspective.. Eddie Diaz was in the armed forces years back and that is what he has been known for but when his son Christopher is born and his mother leaves the picture Eddie must leave the military to care for his son and bring money in the house so he moves to LA and begins working for the LAFD along with many other brave firefighters along with Evan Buckley... Eddie was also with many women in his younger days..until he got married but after his wife left him and his son he gave up on love..well..he never thought he would meet Evan Buckley either..
