After winning a class trip to San Lorenzo via a nationwide essay contest, he uses the map as an advantage to search for his lost parents, who disappeared in the San Lorenzo jungles nine years before. However, the evil river pirate La Sombra is still lurking through the wilderness, and he will do anything he can to destroy Arnold and his friends, and if still alive. destroy Arnold's parents.
