    |SAMPLE Chapters| Prequel of Mr. Chief Minister They say marriage is just a word, but only those who live it know the weight it carries. Naintara felt that weight the day her father whispered his quiet advice before her wedding, words that stayed with her like invisible chains. Now, wrapped in her bridal veil, she waited for the man whose name had become her destiny, Shekhar Raichand. She had only seen him once in a newspaper photograph: calm eyes, cold posture. Tonight she would meet him not as a stranger, but as a wife. Her friends' teasing still echoed in her ears; promises of a beautiful first night had made her blush. And after Sonarika and Vikram's wife whispered their own hints, her heart had raced even more. She had dreamed of slow, tender love, of a voice that would call her name softly. After years of loneliness following her mother's death, she finally hoped for a family, just as her Bauji had said. Shekhar's few words during their rare conversations had already carved a place for him in her heart. There was no fear left in her now; only anticipation to finally see him. Her pulse quickened as footsteps neared. She lifted her veil, then quickly lowered it again, cheeks burning. The door opened. For a single heartbeat, she imagined warmth, tenderness... everything she'd been told. What came instead was nothing like the stories. A sharp, furious voice sliced through the silence. "What are you doing in my room?" She flinched. Before she could speak, Shekhar seized her wrist, his grip cold and punishing. "Wh-what have I done, ji?" she trembled. Just minutes ago downstairs, everything seemed fine. What changed? He gave no answer. He pulled her off the bed, pushed her toward the door, his movements mechanical like she had committed a crime she didn't understand. And then, with a finality that shattered her heart, he said, "There's no place for you in my life or my room. You're only Jagdish Raichand's daughter-in-law... not my wife." The door slammed shut.

A recognizable fact is that the world is shit and no one particularly asks to take part in it, it's more that we are born and are tormented enough that we find peace in what seems to be chaos. Lives can be so different in the fact that two people can do the same thing and one person can seem like a god for their actions while the other has scrutinized. Should the world lick the shoes and dance around a man who would disregard them in a heartbeat, then that would be their choice. Should they beat and brutalize a woman who had been slaving away for them... the man would show them what true hell looked like. Emotion doesn't have to parade through if you just recognize things for what they are and because of that the brunette woman often finds herself being empty with a never-ending supply of sarcasm. Working two day jobs and pursuing a career in investment on the side, she believes her life is complete. After being alone for so long the use of friends is unnecessary and the thought of love even less significant. A fuck all attitude but a nurturing nature that she can't avoid proves less of a blessing than a burden when a largely recognized businessman stumbles into her dinner after a series of unfortunate events. One lives inviting death while the other craves it. A woman with a naturally flirty attitude and a teasing nature, alongside a man that longs for death as if it might never come, his manipulative nature with a stone-cold glare often disrupted by a flustered look that can only be achieved by her. With a shit tone of 70's, 80's and 90's romance and events that both hopeless romantics will find more awkward than sweet, should they bring hell together first or will one find their love for death before their love for the other? They'll bring chaos to the business empire and make the world taste hell with sarcasm, flirting, and manipulation, a smirk upon their red-flushed faces that will be quickly hidden. Sadistic bastards, what a shit show they will make.
