Formerly known as Darkstar's Reign... "Beware the cat that will bring pain, terror, destruction, and death to the clans..." Before the corrupt FoxClan leader known as Darkstar rose to power, he started out as nothing more than a kit. A kit in a clan of wild warriors. Though Darkkit's birth wasn't like that of his clanmates. Darkkit grew up caught in the shadows of lives past buried. Throughout his kithood, he cowered there, scared and confused, wondering why it seemed like StarClan had cursed him. But eventually Darkkit found out the truth. A terrifying and life-altering truth. A truth that sent him spiraling downward, ultimately leaving him to live a shadowed life that never quite relinquished its grip. Along the way he continued to struggle, he changed and formed various allegiances, and he grew darker and darker, almost without realizing it. As Darkstar's life continued on, guilt, anger, sadness, and pain, all rose to fill him. And also a desire for revenge, that would take much time, much pain, and much death, to be fully satisfied. Read on to find out the story behind Darkstar of FoxClan... Author's Note: As of now, this story is not yet edited, rewritten, or in line with the ongoing rewrite of Faith's Journey. Despite this, I hope those of you who decide to read this story, enjoy it just as much as I have enjoyed writing it all!

BasilClan was created by a band of rogues that lived within a forest, the cat leading them, Seed, decided to dedicate his life to protect them and received his nine lives, becoming Seedstar, he recruited his brother, Bloomheart to be his deputy and Larchtail became the Clan's medicine cat, Darkpaw brought her younger siblings, Streamkit and Daisykit to live in BasilClan alongside her parents, Bristletuft and Posynoise, and after this, BasilClan became an official Clan. What if Mapleshade wasn't evil, but Appledusk was? Mapleshade wasn't always an evil cat. When she made the mistake of taking on the mate Appledusk, a RiverClan warrior, and bearing his kits, she was banished from ThunderClan. On her way to RiverClan, her kits drowned, and she took them to RiverClan, facing rejection from RiverClan and her own mate, who had taken on Reedshine as a mate now. Furious and desperate to avenge her kits deaths, Mapleshade killed Ravenwing, ThunderClan's medicine cat that revealed her secret to the clan, Frecklewish who had been watching Mapleshade's kits drown, and accidentally killing Appledusk whilst aiming for Reedshine. She dies afterwards by a fatal injury from Appledusk's apprentice, Perchpaw, and roams in The Dark Forest. She stirred trouble for the clans, and participated in the Great Battle, killing Spottedleaf after she sacrificed herself for Sandstorm. But... but what if all this never happened? What if Mapleshade lived on in RiverClan, Darkstar accepting her, and her kits living on in RiverClan with their mother and father? What if Mapleshade never killed Ravenwing, Frecklewish or Appledusk, and she eventually did die, living on in Starclan? What if Mapleshade never became evil and never went to the Place of No Stars? What if Spottedleaf's spirit still lived on to this very day? In this story I twist 'Mapleshade's Vengeance' by Erin Hunter.

Darkpath's life started with his father Jaystorm training him from the age of 2 months. But his mother Hummingbird wanted him to enjoy his kittenhood. Then he became friends with a light orange and white molly kitten by the name of Vole and her parents, Summerpelt and Oaksky. Then they became rangers Darkpath and Volestep. Darkpath mentored a young new claw by the name of Clouded and Volestep mentored Gorse. Darkpath asked Volestep to be his mate. Luckily for Darkpath, Volestep agreed to be his mate and he became Jaystorm's second. Then Jaystorm died and Darkpath became captain and Volestep had a kitten named Black. When she was only 2 months he started to train his daughter to be strong. Then only 2 months later Dark and Spotted were born. When they were 4 and 2 months he trained all of his daughters. He was exiled for killing his mate and training his daughters then he was welcomed back by his daughters then he parted ways with his daughters and met a Tom by the name of Wolfstorm
