The fires of 2012 started it all. Millions of Lives destroyed, and it was all part of Better Living Industries plan. It is now 2019 and their headquarters have grown stronger in Battery City, California. A place where everyone is on happy pills. They feel no emotion and cannot express themselves, and anyone who disobeys the rules will be exterminated by Korse the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W unit and his Draculoids. But, there are a group of rebels, who call themselves the Killjoys, led by Party Poison, who would rather have a hard life in the desert zones than an easy one while being brainwashed. They have only one hope, who is Missle Kid, who has been on the run from Korse because he knows what she is capable of, who the killjoys will protect with their lives and no one else's so they can save Libes and go back to a normal one......but then Toxic Kitten comes in the picture.

When Mikey Way (Aka Kobra Kid), carelessly gets caught with his gun out in the middle of the city, he is immediately sent to, surprisingly, a Care Unit for young people to go to become everything Mikey was against. He went in unhappy, having never experienced true happiness or really any happiness at all. And then he met Pete Wentz. Most perfect boy he's ever met. Only problem? He's a drac. Party Poison doesn't do kids. In every sense of the phrase--they don't need Chris Hansen on their ass along with BLI. Being in charge of a surprisingly loyal six-year-old proves to be the least of their problems when a mishap occurs between them, the goverment, and a bomb in their diner-turned-home one night. As Korse would probably say, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Or, as Party Poison would say, "Fuck you." (I don't know if I have to say this, but it's not a ship fic or a fic that uses every detail of cannon in it. This is just my little personal killjoys story, some stuff will probably change)

I saw all of it happen. I would like to say it's not all my fault, but I don't know if that would be entirely true. I could have stopped it all, for sure, but at the risk of my own life. And I wasn't prepared to do that, not until my own mission was complete. I did what I had to do. I can't be judged for that, right? It was for everyone else, too, not just myself. But if they ever found out, there's no telling what they would do to me. So they can't know. They can never know. Not after all of this. Not while there's so much left to do. But as closely as they've been watching me, there's only so much longer I can keep my secret hidden. I don't want to admit I'm afraid. Maybe I am. So I'll do whatever it takes to make sure that they never find out - that he never finds out.
