As he gets hired by the phoenix program to be a lawyer for superhero's when they get in trouble with the law but his devil side calls to him and meet an old enemy which will lead to him putting the mask back on.

Spider-Man/Peter Parker in the final week of high school, runs into Kamala Khan, who tells him about a new team of heroes called the Thunderbolts, but when Peter talks with the punisher, he learns the Thunderbolts aren't who they say they are, and Peter has to bring the defenders back together to fight this fight.

After Spider-Man, MJ, and police captain Yuri Wantabe find out about the Demons, they rush to find out what they have planned. However, when Spider-Man arrives at one of the Demons' hideouts, he finds it littered with knocked out demons all of them covered in what seemed to be bullet wounds. After leaving, he gets an anonymous call from a unknown caller, who informs him of what the Demons have planned. The caller hangs up, as Spider-Man is left wondering who it might have been.
