In a city where magic flows like code-compiled, structured, auditable-Vex has learned to survive by being useful. They cannot cast. Every spell crashes with a fatal error no diagnostic can explain. So they've become a translator, a compiler, making everyone else's magic work while their own refuses. When wild-code appears-magic that flows from intention rather than syntax, impossible to regulate or suppress-the Mage Council sees risk. Vex sees people whose magic works differently, not wrongly. People the system rejected first. Commissioned to help eliminate wild-code, Vex must choose between the safety of invisibility and the risk of being seen. Between a career built on working around their "limitation" and fighting to prove it was never a limitation at all. A novel about systems that claim to be neutral, magic that refuses to lie, and the cost of rewriting infrastructure when you can't stay invisible anymore. Updates Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays!

This paper introduces Immanent Pluralism, a model of democratic representation designed for societies characterized by persistent plurality and networked forms of association. It argues that contemporary crises of representation reflect a structural misalignment between territorial, aggregative democratic institutions and increasingly plural, continuous patterns of political life. Building on polycentric governance theory and drawing on insights from associational and digital-era politics, the paper proposes replacing territorially mediated representation with overlapping political assemblages as primary units of democratic articulation. Within this framework, legitimacy emerges through ongoing patterns of participation and coalition formation rather than episodic aggregation alone. The paper situates the model in relation to liberal legitimacy theory, Ostromian polycentric governance, and emerging network-based institutional experiments, and considers the potential role of technological mediation in enabling large-scale participatory coordination. Immanent Pluralism is offered as a conceptual framework for rethinking democratic design under conditions of durable plurality.

Adanna Okafor has spent three years teaching herself K-pop choreography in a bedroom too small to dance in. She's mastered every BlackVelvet move, learned Korean from YouTube videos, and dreamed of Seoul from her home in Lagos, Nigeria. Everyone tells her it's impossible. K-pop idols don't look like her. Girls from Surulere don't make it to Seoul. Dreams like hers don't come true for people like her. Then StarLight Entertainment slides into her DMs. From the chaotic streets of Lagos to the glittering stages of Seoul, this is a story about a girl brave enough to chase a dream everyone said was impossible. About finding your voice when the world expects you to stay silent. About the price of dreams and whether they're worth paying. Some barriers are meant to be broken. Adanna Okafor is about to break them all.

She was just a broke girl from the wrong side of town. He was a prince looking for his princess. Their worlds were never meant to collide... until one party changed everything. Roshanda is eighteen, thick, brown, and broke - living in a roach-infested hotel with her mama, little sister KK, and her no-good stepdad Bird. She's never belonged anywhere special, and she's definitely never been anyone's idea of a princess. But when she gets invited to a mysterious party at the legendary Marland Estate with her best friends Neveah and Shakira, everything changes. Because the guy throwing the party isn't just some rich boy - he's a twenty-year-old prince looking for the girl of his dreams. Ash has everything money can buy, but he's searching for something real. When he bumps into Roshanda, something clicks. She's different from the fake, shallow girls he's used to. She's real. She's funny. She's beautiful in ways that have nothing to do with money. But when you're from different worlds, happily ever after isn't that simple. Between family drama, jealous rivals, and secrets that could destroy everything, Roshanda will have to decide if she's brave enough to claim her unexpected crown. This is not your typical fairytale. This is what happens when a real girl meets a real prince, and discovers that sometimes the best princesses are the ones nobody expected.
