Ram, Dulal, and Ajit were best friends from Keshabpur, Burdwan. After graduation, jobs were nowhere to be found, and their fathers' scoldings were getting louder by the day. One afternoon, after an epic lecture on "useless boys," they decided: "We'll leave home and come back only when we're rich!"
Fast forward a week, hunger pangs hit, and reality slapped them harder than a monsoon storm. No money, no food, no shelter. Desperate, they picked the "perfect" solution: burglary.
Sneaking into a rich man's house at night, they found a shiny bike and sacks of rice. Ram whispered, "Jackpot!"
Ajit squinted. "Great, but... it's dark. We don't have a torch."
Dulal, ever the genius, said, "No worries! There's a light switch. We turn it on, grab stuff, and switch it off."
Famous last words. Dulal, in his excitement, hit the doorbell instead. Instantly, lights flashed, dogs barked, alarms rang, and the trio froze mid-sneeze. Ram tripped over the bike, Ajit fell into a rice sack, and Dulal tried to run... straight into the garden fountain.
Within minutes, the police arrived, soaking wet Ram, rice-covered Ajit, and dripping Dulal in tow. Their parents rushed in, ready for a lecture-but burst into laughter at the sight of their "master thieves."
The rich man, wiping tears from his eyes, said, "You three are too funny to be criminals. Come work in my warehouse instead!"
Ram, Dulal, and Ajit happily agreed-finally food, shelter, and a job... plus an unforgettable story to tell everyone in Keshabpur.
Moral: Sometimes, crime doesn't pay-but comedy does.
