I personally don't like the word FANFICTION but it is what it is. When I watched LoK when it first came out it didn't have the same spark to me as TLA. This is my first time ever writing a project like this so I doubt I can catch that rare lightning in a bottle but I'm optimistic. The prologue will be published first and I'll take it from there. Avatar Aang defeats Firelord Ozai and ends the Hundred Year War. Feeling over the moon, he goes back to the Fire Nation, expecting a reunion with Katara. However, his entire world flips upside down when he finds out she has died in her fight against Azula. Aang and Sokka deal with the aftermath as the person most important to them is gone. Or is she? Kataangst with a happy ending. Lots of Sukka. Lots of Team Avatar moments.

A year after the war, our favorite Gaang reunites. Katara and Aang, Mai and Zuko, they all seem to be holding strong... but are they? Old relationships feel familiar, but not quite right. As Zuko and Katara find themselves in similar dilemmas and start confiding in each other, they begin to wonder: What if the future they chose isn't the one they want?

Zutara happened wdym It's been four years since the battle with Ozai. Katara was unable to save Aang, who died shortly after defeating the tyrannical fire lord. Zuko assumed the title, while Sokka and Suki travel the world and restore peace to areas still fragmented by the war, and Toph teaches Metalbending in the Earth Kingdom. With no where else she feels she belongs, Katara returns to the Southern Water Tribe, planning to live the rest of her life in quiet. But soon, her past catches up to her- something she left unfinished in the Fire Nation.

Y/N is the elder brother of Sokka and Katara. On the day they lost their mother, Y/N swore to protect his brother and sister at all costs. As the oldest, he constantly has to put up with their constant bickering, and only step in when it gets too serious. Y/N holds a grudge against the Fire Nation. They not only took his mother from him, but also his arm. Y/N was also born with a rare defect, that greatly affects his bending. He cannot bend water like a normal waterbender can. He's only able to bend the water as ice and snow. Able to freeze water that's nearby, and create projectiles of Ice. Because of this defect, he was able to replace his missing arm with one made entirely of Ice. But it's also cause of this defect, that he deems himself as a blacksheep among waterbenders. An outcast. Little did Y/N know that he and his siblings would become a major factor to ending the 100 year war against the Fire Nation. But also... Everything else comes in glimpses. Her death, or maybe her life, started 3 months ago, and about 30 days ago a strong spiritual presence found its way back to the world. Now, she finds herself being pulled and following said presence, hoping to lead her somewhere better. - THIS WAS CHANGED TO AN & READER BECAUSE I STARTED IT AT 16/17 AND AM CONTINUING IT AT 20! To keep it xReader would be entirely inappropriate, so please ignore the x Reader in the book cover. I made the cover years ago and don't have the drawing saved anymore to edit it out. - The platonic relationships in this book, or at least the friendship with Zuko, is a slow cook that really comes into effect in season 2! - My first &Reader, but nowhere near my first book. A lot of the inspirations for this book come from Indigenous Yaqui culture, as well as Indigenous Inuit and other Mexican Native cultures. Your person in this book is 18, and the spirit of sacrifice. After what she thought was the end of her life, she found herself with only the beginning of a new adventure... .... He cornered me against the wall, and then put his face very close to mine. Our noses were almost touching. My breathing hitched. "Who are you?" His menacing amber eyes looked at me. I returned his gaze and locked my eyes with his, staying like that for a few moments. Then brought my lips slowly to his ear. He gasped. I put my hand on his back to keep him from backing away. I could feel his heart starting to beat faster and faster. "It's..." I whispered. He tensed. I waited a couple of seconds. "None of your bussines!" I shouted as I headbutted him. I took Aang's staff from his hands and began to flee down the ship's corridor towards the exit. .... This story is for the ATLA fans, just like me, who can't get enough of it. I present to you When the Moon Kissed the Sun, a story with both romance and adventure. I also promise this won't look like any other romance story or ATLA fan fiction (because it isn't), we have enough of that already. Since I love the water and fire duo/couple, this will definitely be a major trope of this story so be prepared for it. This story takes place in the ATLA universe but happens way before the events of the series. But things are a little different.. 20 years ago, the fire nation managed to kill Aang, the young avatar, in the slaughter of the Air Nomads. Now, as the Fire Nation has taken over on the Earth Kingdom with an iron hand, conquered the Southern Water Tribe and exterminated the Air Nomads, the sake of the world seems lost.. but hopefully, a surprising duo might change that. Author's note: Even though this story takes place in the Avatar: The Last Airbender universe, you will see some minor changes in both the storyline and the Avatar cycle. But do not worry, those changes will have for only purpose to help me build this story and it will not go too far from the original universe. Thank you and have a good read!
